The Department of Surgery and Division of Trauma and Critical Care Welcomes Thomas Carver, MD
On behalf of Dr. John Weigelt and the Division of Trauma & Critical Care, we are very pleased to welcome Thomas Carver, MD to the Medical College of Wisconsin faculty. Tom completed his general surgical residency at the Navy Medical Center in San Diego, CA in 2008. After residency, Tom served as a Ship General Surgeon on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower for one year before joining the faculty at the Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. He went on to be a Staff General Surgeon and Department Head at James Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago. In 2010, Dr. Carver was deployed to Afghanistan and served our country for one year. Tom was a Lieutenant Commander in the Medical Corps U.S. Navy until 2012 and as you know, he recently completed a fellowship in Surgical Critical Care with us at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Tom is a welcome addition to the Division and will staff our trauma, critical care and acute care surgery services. He will also be available for general surgery consults.
We warmly welcome Tom and his wife Kristine to the Department of Surgery and the Medical College of Wisconsin.
