The Department of Surgery welcomes Anna M. Ledgerwood, MD, as the 28th Annual C. Morrison Schroeder Visiting Professor.

Anna M. Ledgerwood, MD, Professor of Surgery at Wayne State University School of Medicine, serves as the Trauma Director at Detroit Receiving Hospital. She has been on faculty for more than 30 years. Dr. Ledgerwood is the first female President of the American Surgical Association. She is Past-President of the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma and was Scudder Orator at the American College of Surgeons

She has served as President of the Michigan Chapter of the American College of Surgeons, Academy of Surgery of Detroit, Midwest Surgical Association, and the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma. Her research and publication credentials include 159 publications, 68 books and chapters, and more than 160 presentations.

The 28th Annual C. Morrison Schroeder Lecture schedule is listed below. Please note that resident attendance is mandatory at all Schroeder Visiting Professor events.
