Wisconsin Supreme Court Rules in Favor of MCW in Whistleblower Case
The Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled in favor of MCW in a case that affirmed lower court rulings that Wisconsin’s whistleblower law only protects people who actually receive a salary from the institution they file a complaint against. A UWM psychology graduate student dismissed by MCW had claimed her release from the program was based on allegations that she was a whistleblower. Dr. John R. Raymond, Sr., said there are anonymous ways for anyone to report ethical issues that could have been used, but the claimant didn’t. He also said that her allegations were investigated and could not be substantiated.
