Researchers Collaborate with Boston Children’s on Pharmacogenomics Study

MCW and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin are collaborating with Boston Children’s Hospital on the first pharmacogenomics study to use genetic information to predict if a child will have a reaction to medications, and ultimately develop individualized therapy for patients. Boston Children’s Hospital will enroll 1,000 pediatric patients in the study, and researchers at MCW and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin will conduct the pharmacogenomics studies.
