Parents should trust instincts about children’s illnesses

When should parents call a doctor? Dr. Cecille Sulman, associate professor and chief of pediatric otolaryngology; and Dr. Lisa Zetley, assistant professor of pediatrics, were interviewed by the Wisconsin Jewish Chronicle about parents’ concerns about evaluating children’s symptoms, and making the decision to contact a physician or visit urgent care or an emergency room. Dr. Sulman and Dr. Zetley both see patients at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
