Dr. Stoner Finds Rat Diet High in Black Raspberries Prevents Development of Tumors

In a study reported in Cancer Prevention Research, Gary Stoner, PhD, (Medicine – Hematology/Oncology) reports that rats eating a diet containing 6.1 percent of freeze dried black raspberries or polyphenolic anthocyanins from the fruits or their metabolite – protocatechuic acid effectively prevented the development of chemically-induced tumors.
