Two faculty members to be honored at Jan. 21 Milwaukee Academy of Medicine meeting
Jan. 16, 2014 College News - The Milwaukee Academy of Medicine will hold its 128th annual meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 21, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the University Club of Milwaukee. Awards will be presented to John Thomas, MD, Associate Adjunct Professor of Pediatrics (Cardiology), and Matthew Lee, MD, Associate Adjunct Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Thomas will receive the Academy’s Humanitarian Award for his volunteer work with Repairers of the Breach.
Dr. Lee will receive the President’s Award for his dedication and hard work on behalf of the Academy.
Michael McBride, MD, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine, will be the guest speaker at the event and give a presentation titled, Life in a Combat Hospital:, Lessons Learned at the Role 3 in Kandahar, Afghanistan.
