New alternative transportation programs now available!
Nov. 15, 2013 College News - In case you missed one of the “Getting There Fair” alternative transportation events held around campus, you can still get the information you need to try an alternative way of commuting to work. Milwaukee Regional Medical Center offers several different alternative transportation programs to employees to help navigate the Zoo Interchange construction. They include:
Carpool: Make a friend; save the earth!
Park & Ride Shuttle Service: Avoid the cold and the long walk from the parking lot
Washington County Commuter Express: Free WiFi! Enough said.
Milwaukee County Transit System: Try the bus and leaving the driving to us!
Bike Buddy: Amateur? Experienced? Find a buddy and commute by bike!
Information can be found on the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center website: http://www.mrmccampus.org/alternate-transportation. Here you will find more information on the Alternative Transportation Programs, the options available, how to participate and the incentives to encourage your participation. All options offer a free emergency ride program to alleviate the fear of being unable to get home for yourself or a loved one if an urgent need arises.
Park & Ride Shuttle Service
One program highlight includes the new Park & Ride Shuttle Service. Two convenient Park & Ride shuttle routes have been arranged for employees who work on the MRMC campus or at Research Park.
State Fair Park & Ride (W. Adler St & 76th St)
Burleigh Street Park & Ride (Burleigh St & 114th Street)
Buses will depart every 15 minutes between 6 a.m. – 9 a.m. and return between 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. Simply park at one of the two designated WisDOT Park & Ride lot locations, grab the shuttle and relax. It will get you conveniently close to your work location. More information on the routes and shuttle schedule can be found online: http://www.mrmccampus.org/alternate-transportation.
