Dr. Lee Biblo appointed Chief Medical Officer of Froedtert Hospital

April 06, 2012 College News - Lee A. Biblo, MD, Professor of Medicine and Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs at the Medical College of Wisconsin and a cardiologist at Froedtert Hospital, has been appointed Chief Medical Officer of Froedtert Hospital. Dr. Biblo will continue to serve as the Chief Medical Officer for the Medical College Physicians, a role he has held since 2009. In that role, he supervises the clinical quality and clinical informatics officers and associate deans to achieve higher quality outcomes, greater clinical effectiveness, increased patient satisfaction and improved operating efficiency in patient care.

Medical College Physicians is the adult component of the Medical College’s group practice, which provides adult care in virtually every specialty of medicine at Froedtert Hospital and at Froedtert & the Medical College Clinics.

In his expanded role as Chief Medical Officer for Froedtert Hospital, Dr. Biblo will oversee the Froedtert Hospital medical staff structure, hospital activities in clinical research, and quality and resource management at outpatient and inpatient facilities at Froedtert Hospital.

This new role will enhance the partnership between the Medical College and Froedtert Hospital to streamline those efforts.  I am very excited that he has agreed to take on this critical role.”

Dr. Biblo received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve Medical School in 1981. He completed his internal medicine residency and fellowships in general medicine, cardiovascular disease and cardiac electrophysiology at University Hospitals of Cleveland. Dr. Biblo is board certified in cardiology, clinical cardiac electrophysiology, and internal medicine.
