Dr. Paula Termuhlen recognized for program development efforts
Medical College of Wisconsin leadership thanks Paula M. Termuhlen, MD, for the milestones achieved during her service as Faculty Leader and Director of MCW’s community medical education program.
In this role, Dr. Termuhlen successfully facilitated the comprehensive team effort toward submission of two accreditation applications with the Higher Learning Commission and Liaison Committee for Medical Education for MCW-Green Bay.
Beginning in October 2012, Dr. Termuhlen’s leadership paved the way for MCW’s Curriculum and Evaluation Committee approval of the three-year curriculum for MCW-Green Bay. She also spearheaded development of student support services, admissions processes, faculty development efforts and facilities.
This spring, leadership for development and implementation of the community medical education program transitioned from Dr. Termuhlen to William Hueston, MD, Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and Matt Hunsaker, MD, MCW-Green Bay Campus Dean. The MCW-Central Wisconsin Dean will join this leadership team when he/she is named.
Dr. Termuhlen will continue to champion the community medical education program by serving as a work group member for Graduate Medical Education and in her role as Professor of Surgery and Director of the Surgery Residency Program. Please join the MCW community in thanking Dr. Termuhlen for a job well done.
