Activities abound in April for Community Medical Education Program
The month of April features a number of key meetings and activities that will advance the development of the Medical College of Wisconsin’s Community Medical Education Program and share knowledge about this initiative.
April 12: MCW will lead two workshops at the Association of American Medical College’s Group on Regional Medical Campuses Spring 2013 Meeting in Atlantic City, N.J. Paula Termuhlen, MD, Professor of Surgery and Faculty Director of the Community Medical Education Program, will present Strategies for engaging stakeholders in community medical education in regional sites, followed by a presentation of Key elements in selecting communities for the development of a regional medical education campus.
April 16: The Community Advisory Board serving the Central Wisconsin region will hold its first meeting.
April 18: Dr. Termuhlen will participate in a panel discussion titled Establishing Medical Training in Small Cities: Medical Schools, Residencies, Nursing Programs at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Small Cities Conference.
April 30: The Community Advisory Board serving the Green Bay region will hold its first meeting.
May 10: Groundbreaking for the Gehl-Mulva Science Center at St. Norbert College is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. The Center will house components of the MCW Green Bay Campus.
