Can social networks improve rates of treatment for HIV?

Jan. 22 - The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) has received a three-year, $675,000 grant from the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute of Mental Health to explore the use of social networks to engage people living with HIV infection (PLH), but who have never sought treatment or have ceased seeking medical care. The second phase of the research will determine the efficacy of these social networks for intervention strategies.

Steve Cullen Healthy Heart Run/Walk to Benefit Cardiac Research at MCW

Jan. 16 - The 19th Annual Steve Cullen Healthy Heart Club Run & Walk will be held on Saturday, February 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Wil-O-Way Recreation Center, 10602 Underwood Parkway in Wauwatosa. The event supports heart research at the Cardiovascular Center at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), in which more than 170 faculty physicians and research scientists study the causes, prevention and treatment of heart disease.
