The MSMS Facility has Liquid Chromatograph mass spectrometers with different configurations available for researchers' needs in analysis of their samples.

Agilent 6460 Triple Quad LC/MS

The Agilent 6460 Triple Quad LC/MS consists of electrospray ionization (ESI) source and triple quadrupole mass analyzer. The system has a high performance tandem quadrupole analyzer with a mass range of 2-3000 amu in positive and negative detection modes. The 1290 Infinity liquid chromatograph handles high pressure for fast chromatography and fast data sampling of higher than 150 MRMs per second will allow fast analysis of complex samples. The system is very sensitive and suitable for qualitative and quantitative determinations of small molecules such as lipids, steroids, drugs and metabolites, nucleic acids, and peptides.

Quattro micro API mass spectrometer (Waters)

The Quattro Micro API Mass Spectrometer (Waters) consists of Z-Spray Atmospheric Pressure Ionization for electrospray ionization (ESI) and chemical ionization (APCI) sources and triple quadrupole mass analyzer. The system has a high performance tandem quadrupole analyzer with a mass range of 2-2000 amu in positive and negative detection modes. The system is very sensitive and suitable for qualitative and quantitative determinations of lipids, steroids, drugs and metabolites, nucleic acids, and peptides.

LC-MSD SL Model (Agilent)

The LC-MSD SL Model (Agilent) consists of orthogonal electrospray ionization (ESI) and atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI) sources and a single quadrupole mass analyzer. The system is capable of 0.13 amu mass accuracy, m/z range of 50 to 1,200, and positive and negative detection modes. The system is very sensitive and suitable for quantitative determination of small compounds such as lipids, steroids, peptides, drugs and metabolites.
