Computing, Scanner, Photocopy, Print, and Fax Services at the MCW Libraries
- Library Computers
MCW offers several computer laboratories. The Todd Wehr Library in the Health Research Center provides 35 workstations in its Computer/Media Center available during Library hours (as well as individual workstations throughout the library) with various electronic databases, the Internet, Microsoft ® Office ® applications, and black/white as well as color printing available. The Instructional Computing Laboratories offer 114 workstations available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week throughout the year when not being used for exams or other activities.
The Computer/Media Center is located near the main entrance to the library. The Center is equipped with PCs. The Center's computers may be used for accessing various electronic databases, the Internet, viewing videos and DVDs, and for Microsoft ® Office ® applications. The Center provides printing using a credit card called a "VendaCard." VendaCards may be purchased from a vending machine in the Todd Wehr library. A scanner is also available. M1 and M2 class lectures may be downloaded by Circulation staff onto library owned iPods for student use. On select computers, CD Burning is available.

Instructional Computing Laboratories
The Instructional Computing Laboratories are located immediately west of the Todd Wehr library in the MEB building. They are equipped with PCs and provide general access to computing services including the Internet, Microsoft ® Office ® applications, and access to course-specific tutorials, images and documents. These labs also provide black/white printing using a "VendaCard" payment system. They are used for proctored testing for the MCW curriculum and also for conducting exams outside of the MCW curriculum.

There are also 4 PCs available for public use at the Children's Library and 9 PCs available for public use at the Froedtert Library.
- Library Scanners
The Todd Wehr Library scanning station can be found in the computer lab area near the side entrance, adjacent to the print station. There is also a scanner available at the Children's Library.
- Library Photocopiers
For the convenience of library users, copiers are located in the Todd Wehr Library, Froedtert Library, and Children's Hospital Library. A nominal fee is charged for photocopies (some hospitals and departments provide support for this service). The machines in Todd Wehr and Froedtert are activated by means of a credit card called a "VendaCard." VendaCards may be purchased from a vending machine in Todd Wehr or at the circulation desk at Froedtert Library. Money can be added to the cards at either location. Copy machines in Todd Wehr and Froedtert can also accept coins.
- Library Printers
Laser printing is available from the patron workstations in the Todd Wehr Library, the patron workstations at Froedtert Library, and in the Instructional Computing Laboratories (ICL). Laser printing operates only with the VendaCards. Color printing is available in addition to black & white at the Todd Wehr Library location. VendaCards may be purchased from svending machine in Todd Wehr and the ICL or at the circulation desk at Froedtert Library. Money can be added to the cards at either location.
- Library "Fax Express" Service
Fax Express is a fax service operated by the Interlibrary Loan Department in the Todd Wehr Library. This service is available to anyone. There is a fee for sending and receiving faxes.
