South Display Case Highlights Froedtert Hospital Nursing Research Council
The Todd Wehr Library South display case is highlighting the activities of the Froedtert Hospital Nursing Research Council throughout the month of May. The Research Council members work with Froedtert nurses who express an interest in research studies that change practice to improve patient care and treatment outcomes. The Research Council provides guidance through the research process from writing the research proposal, obtaining IRB approval, conducting the study, and gathering data up to final publication of the study results. The Research Council and Froedtert nurses are fortunate to be able to collaborate with faculty from affiliated academic institutions in southeast Wisconsin such as the UWM School of Nursing. Participation in community events for Nursing Research, such as Building Bridges and other professional organization events, is encouraged. Annual activities of the Research Council include the research awards and the Nursing Research Day held in the fall.
