All required information should be submitted by the applicant directly to the Graduate School office.
Any graduate of an accredited college or university is eligible for admission to the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences as a degree candidate provided:
“Native language” is defined as the language you grew up speaking in your family, your community, or your nation. Graduate students must demonstrate a level of oral proficiency in the English language.”
1. Complete a Certificate Seeking application online, submit with a $50 payment.
2. Make arrangement for official transcripts from all previous undergraduate, graduate and medical institutions to be sent directly to the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Transcripts in the hands of prospective students are not accepted as "official" unless remitted with signed seals intact. International applicants may have additional requirements, see "International Students."
3. Arrange two letters of recommendation, along with two "Admission Recommendation Forms" to be sent directly from the recommender to the graduate school office. Any recommendation letters/forms received via the applicant are required to arrive with signature seals intact.
*Public Health Certificate seeking applicants must provide three recommendations and forms.
4. Non-U.S. citizens are required to take TOEFL and make arrangement for an official score report to be sent directly from ETS to the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. A minimum score of 100 is required on the Internet Based Test. The Institution Code is 1519, Department code is 0000.
Non-degree seeking admission is available for those who wish to pursue continued professional development. Non-Degree Admission affords a student to enroll in classes for three consecutive terms, i.e.. one school year, on a part time basis, with a maximum credit accumulation of 15 credits. Some coursework taken as a non-degree student may be applied to a degree program, but not in all situations.
