There are more than 1,260 students enrolled in educational programs at The Medical College of Wisconsin.  This includes 811 medical students, and more than 400 graduate school students and 160 postdoctoral fellows.

MCW is internationally known for its cutting edge research programs. In addition to traditional projects specialized areas include cancer biology, functional imaging, molecular and cellular biology, neurosciences and cardiovascular physiology.  The College's research enterprise is focused on strategic, prioritized areas of research involving interdisciplinary collaboration among scientists and physicians with the goal of rapidly translating discoveries into advances for patient care.  If you're a prospective graduate student consider visiting MCW for a first hand look at the research efforts.

In FY-2012-13, College faculty received more than $160 million in grant awards for research, training, teaching and related purposes.  More than 144 million was for research, including funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).  There are over 2,100 research studies, including clinical trials on the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center campus.
