CAIR's Focus

Based at the Medical College of Wisconsin, the Center for AIDS Intervention Research (CAIR) is a multidisciplinary HIV prevention research center.

CAIR faculty and staff are dedicated to the development, conduct, and evaluation of new strategies to prevent HIV among persons most vulnerable to the disease. CAIR's research also focuses on the prevention of adverse health and mental outcomes among persons living with HIV infection and their loved ones.

November 27-28, 2014: The Center will be closed in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

December 3, 2014: Jonathan Garcia, PhD, Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Sociomedical Sciences, Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University, presents a CAIR Conference entitled, "What's New about Combination Prevention? Insights for Multi-level HIV Interventions among Latino and Black MSM." Dr. Garcia will present from 1:00-2:30 pm.

December 24-25, 2014: The Center will be closed in observance of the Christmas holiday.

January 1, 2015: The Center will be closed in observance of the New Year's holiday.

Dr. Glasman Receives $658,000 NIH Grant to Promote HIV Testing Among Latino Men

Oct. 14 - Laura R. Glasman, PhD received a three-year, $658,000 grant from the National Institute of Mental Health to design an intervention to promote regular HIV testing and safer behavior among networks of Latino men at risk for HIV. Wauwatosa Now
