“Metamorphic” Protein Could Lead to New AIDS-Fighting Drugs

December 26 - The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) has received a one-year, $353,000 grant from the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) to study a unique protein that shows promise as an HIV inhibitor.

Imaging Technique for Spinal Cord Injury Shows Promise

December 20 - An alternative imaging technique called diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) shows promise in forecasting, evaluating and monitoring patients with spinal cord injury and disease.

December 20 - Geoffrey C. Lamb, MD, professor of medicine and section chief of hospital medicine in the division of general internal medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), and associate director of the joint quality office for Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, has been awarded a Learning Health System Planning Award by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC).
