Spring Festival of Cultures, March 23-25
Celebrate culture, community, and diversity at the 2015 Spring Festival of Cultures at the Medical College of Wisconsin on March 24-26.
This fifth annual festival is organized by the Student Spring Cultural Planning Committee, the Diversity Advisory Committee, and the Office of Global Health.
The week's events include:
Monday, March 23: Cultural Market [Cafeteria Lobby]
Students, faculty, and staff decorate a table and feature food and information from a specific culture.
Tuesday, March 24: Quiz Bowl [Kerrigan Auditorium]
Teams of 1-5 people will compete simultaneously to answer global themed questions in the categories of: Geography, Sports, Science, Entertainment, Politics, Culture, History, and Food. There are prizes for the winning team members.

Wednesday, March 25: Fashion Show [Alumni Center]
The show features students, staff, and faculty in cultural attire along with music.
The annual event is part of the college’s effort to enhance diversity and inclusion. “It’s essential that we positively promote the diverse skills and experiences of the MCW community,” Associate Dean for Global Health Dr. Stephen Hargarten said. “Learning about the diverse cultures and countries that our students, faculty, and staff represent, allows us to celebrate from neighborhoods and nations.”
