Oct. 22 - Green Bay Packers’ fullback John Kuhn, along with Peter Langenstroer, MD, MS, professor of urology, kicked off the “Movember” movement by having their beards shaved at the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center. “Movember” encourages men to grow facial hair to raise awareness of prostate cancer. Oct. 10 - The paper of an MCW research team was selected by the International Academy of Pelvic Surgery (IAPS) as one of its Editor’s Choice articles for the Month of September. IAPS reviews 13 prominent journals in obstetrics and gynecology to create the list. The paper, InTone: a novel pelvic floor rehabilitation device for urinary incontinence, was originally published in the July issue of International Urogynecology Journal.
