Biochemistry

A broad spectrum of biochemistry ranging from cell and developmental biology, structural biology, and the biological processes at the molecular level. The department is home to state of the art facilities and instruments for X-ray crystallography, NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, fluorescence microscopy.

Microbiology and Molecular Genetics

Department faculty, staff, laboratories, and research. Our role in the education and training of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. The department excels in using molecular genetic techniques to further research in the areas of bacterial pathogenesis, signaling and gene expression, virology, immunology, enzymology, metabolism, and cell biology.

Biophysics

The Department of Biophysics at the Medical College of Wisconsin is dedicated to quality in research and graduate and postdoctoral training. The department's primary research focus is magnetic resonance, both electron paramagnetic resonance and magnetic resonance imaging.
