At MCW, diversity is a commitment to recognizing and appreciating the variety of individual differences in an environment that promotes and celebrates individual and collective achievement. The diversity of MCW continues to be an important source of innovative ideas and creative accomplishments.

We publish stories and vignettes throughout the year to honor the diversity of its faculty, staff and students, and to celebrate those who make up our community.

Some of the events we specifically highlight include Black History Month, Women’s History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month, and Native American Heritage Month.

The stories highlight MCW programs that improve the health of these populations, offer these populations improved access to health care and education, and reduce health disparities. The vignettes highlight members of the MCW community and contributions they have made.
