American Heart Association Diseases & Conditions section provides helpful information on cardiovascular disease. Brochures, covering a wide range of cardiovascular health and stroke topics, are also available free by visiting the Web site's Publication's section.

HealthWeb is a project of the health sciences libraries of the Greater Midwest Region of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine and those of the Committee for Institutional Cooperation.
HSTAT is a free, government-sponsored Web-based resource of text documents that provide health information and support health care decision-making.
Medem award-winning Medical Library represents the full range of patient education information from its partner medical societies.
MedlinePlus provides consumer health materials and links, chosen and reviewed for quality by the National Library of Medicine. The visitor may choose text in either English or Spanish.
National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute provides leadership for a national program in diseases of the heart, blood vessels, lung, and blood; blood resources, and sleep disorders.
National Library of Medicine includes links to a variety of useful resources to enable consumers to make informed decisions about their health.
National Women's Health Information Center, a service of the Office on Women's Health in the Department of Health and Human Services, is a gateway to the vast array of federal and other women's health information resources.
NOAH: New York Online Access to Health is a collaborative project of the City University of New York Office of Library Services, the Metropolitan New York Library Council, the New York Academy of Medicine Library, the New York Public Library, the Queens Borough Public Library and the Brooklyn Public Library for the public to get reliable consumer health information.
US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention provides credible information on critical health issues and is an arm of the US Department of Health and Human Services.
MCW Library locations:
The Froedtert and Dynacare Community Health Resource Center (CHRC), a joint program with the Medical College of Wisconsin Libraries, offers a wealth of informational resources for patients and their families. The CHRC is located on the second floor of the Froedtert & Medical College East Clinics building and is staffed by Medical College librarians.
Resources available within the CHRC include:
- Computer stations with Internet access
- Medical books and periodicals
- Videotapes on relevant healthcare topics
- Video viewing room
