Program in Regenerative Medicine: Duncan Lab Expansion
This award helped build a Regenerative Medicine program at the Medical College of Wisconsin with the tools and resources to be a national leader in the field of stem cell biology.
Injury Research Center Seed Projects
This award funded seven seed projects in promising areas of injury research. Recipients went on to receive additional funding from the National Institutes of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Translational Neuro-Oncology Research Program
This award supported the development of a magnetic resonance imaging research program aimed at improving detection and evaluation of brain tumors. A procedure developed by this program has been incorporated into the standard clinical protocol for evaluating brain tumor patients.
Chemokine Receptors as Novel Targets for Cancer Therapy
This award advanced the study of molecules designed to block chemokine receptors and delay or prevent the spread of cancer. The researchers secured additional funding from the NIH.
Research Data Warehouse
This award funded the creation of an online data warehouse that integrates and secures information from multiple clinical sources. This database provides streamlined access to facilitate collaborative, multidisciplinary studies by clinical and translational research teams.
Establishment of a Neuroscience Research Center
This award helped create a research center with the tools and resources to support cutting-edge brain research on conditions such as schizophrenia, addiction and post-traumatic stress disorder.
